I really wanted to like this book. Also, Kamala's friend Bruno gets some nice screen time and it's well used to flesh him out a bit. The First Peace; My Search for the Better Angels is an attempt to weave a tapestry of stories, ideas and ideals, ethics, experiences, and expressions with the goal (and hope) to entertain, inform, educate, persuade, stimulate, and even challenge. I won't say any more for I will not ruin the story for all, but this little short-story is cute with a happy ending. Forced into servitude, the Athsheans find themselves at the mercy of their brutal masters.
