. The first three-fourths of The Wounded Heart are about the damage and reactions to abuse. I didn't have any problem reading this book. Not enough infomation. This builds upon the first book, pulling you deeply back into the whirl of the Renaissance Faire world, with colourful characters and drama. These were the days when no lengthy sea voyage was certain to be safe and, in any event, was an ordeal to be endured. The thought bubbles are hilarious: the knight dreams of ways to get across the wall (helicopter, wings, tunnels), and Edward dreams of doughnuts and lollipops. A few incidents (such as the apothecary incident) seemed hard to believe in addition to the fact that he didn’t get punished to suit the circumstances. Their story sizzles with a balanced dose of drama and humor. Unfortunately that means he leaves out details and skips large chunks of life that we'd like to hear more about.
