I almost did not finish the book because of the viciousness and sadistic nature of much of the story. Looking for a series that will get you absolutely hooked within a matter of 2-3 pages. You may question the book as you go along but I urge you to just keep going it's a slow read but a worthy one. Kat Falls' Rip Tide is the sequel to her first novel, Dark Life.
